Nice scenic course with a couple of inclines - but beware of the dog!
Nice undulating run and generally pretty well marshalled.
It seemed hazardous to set the dog race off before the other runners as there were dogs everywhere at one point. Most owners were pretty sensible but the odd few made it a challenge with no control over the dog and, rather unpleasantly, not clearing up dogs mess!
Blenheim Palace is a lovely place for a run otherwise, the course wasn't too challenging (but certainly not flat!) and the support was great at the end.
Lovely inclusive event
More loos please!
Great setup, more toilets needed
My only criticism is that more toilets are needed.
An enjoyable race, despite the bad weather.
My only criticism was no one knew where the start was ! We were all just following each and asking .
Lovely event
Few more toilets - or info that house toilets can be used - would prefer it to be 7k - more running around actual palace n grounds to experience the location - the presentation was before some people finished. More info where house is and cafe can be used and dog friendly- parking was slow although well organised.Lovely event nice medals - reasonably priced - events times really quick thanks need more info re photos taken. Prefer finish line to be on straight do u can see coming towards it. K markers more pronounced and on both sides please. Thanks
Great route with lovely views
Leaving the car park at the end was a bit of a nightmare but cannot be helped with so many attendees
Great family event
More toilets and more food options for afterwards would be good
Good
Childs race started when we weren't ready
Good organisation from all disciplines and perfect route
Thanks for the HQ ladies who sorted my race number and chip which got lost in the post- I so wanted to run today! Brilliant service - it meant a lot!
I loved the course! And despite the rain, there was great cheering! And everyone was so kind to other runners!
I would however make the runners with dogs go after the main wave of 7k runners. The dogs get on runner’s way and the poor animals get a little worried when so many people go round them as they are overtaken.
We really enjoyed it. It was my sons (4 years old) first running event. He loves it.
My first ever race and enjoyed every moment, thank you
Would suggest positioning the PA behind the start line (or having extra speakers there) so people further back can hear instructions.
Fun event to be apart of. The hills can be a killer.
Route round the Harry Potter tree was very crowded. Toilets had long queues, could have done with more.
Really enjoyable - great route, lovely and a fantastic, friendly atmosphere
More toilet facilities and the urinals provided for the men were too open to view. Otherwise, it was a great event. First class. Stagger the starts better would be better as well.
Buggy run is a massive plus
Buggy run and kids run makes it really family friendly. One we will do every year is we can
Great event, fun run atmosphere but opportunities for the serious runner too.
Disappointing that some car drivers exited whilst some runners still on the road during the event
A picturesque run that was a little let down by some organisational issues.
It is great that you offer free parking, unfortunately the parking system was not very smooth. It took >35 minutes to park after passing through the entry. Could there be a way to prepare for the inevitable rush a little better?
There were not enough toilets. I waited almost 30 minutes and in doing so missed the opportunity to meet up with the charity I was running for. More toilets would have really helped avoid this.
The start was a little confusing as the race announcer could not easily be heard. It was however a nice start funnel once things got going.
Starting the dog runners before the regular runners was dangerous. I can see that starting them after would also create problems. It seems that you need to separate the two races by much longer, say 20-30 minutes to avoid the faster runners having to run through a large field of runners with dogs.
Running past the Harry Potter tree in theory is nice, however the track was quite muddy in places and I would have preferred we took a safer route.
This was an enjoyable event and I would consider running it again. With a few small adaptations it could be a very smooth day for all the participants.
Fun run in stunning country park
Good coffee stand! Registration was quick & easy. Only criticisms: long queue for toilet cubicles before the race (although no queue at urinals), and it would be nice if the welcome email explained how the race start is organised.
Great run in beautiful surroundings
Needed more toilets, end better organisation of the car park at the end.
Super kids fun run!
Amazing event, well organised, lovely atmosphere and setting. Thank you!
