Great day in a beautiful place
Good race ,long Hill
Good race. The long hill is not for everyone . Good you can stay in the park after with family or friends.
A fantastic event! Great atmosphere. Great to see so many charities present at Blenheim 7.4K.
Enjoyable hilly course
Get the dogs and the pushchair runners to go 10 mins before or after the rest of the runners set off as when the course narrowed it was hard for everyone to get through and maybe tell dog owners not to use extendable leads as some dogs that were on leads were about 12 foot from their owner. Apart from that it was great
Good event but with a few improvements needed
I would suggest improving access to the start line which was practically cordoned off from runners, providing a second water station and (as someone connected to an exhibitor) ensuring that exhibitors can park their vehicles next to the exhibition area for ease of access, packing/unpacking and to avoid having to queue with other exiting traffic just to set down a stand.
Great location, enjoyable event
Really enjoy the event. Great location. Pity about the heavy rain this year!
Could do with more directions/announcements before race started.
Seemed to be long queues for the toilets - perhaps more capacity needed.
Absolutely FANTASTIC for all the family. AAA++++++
Amazing organisation, great family atmosphere, beautiful surroundings and very lovely organisers. Simply couldn't recommend this run more highly. A must do. Thank you Blenheim XXXXXX
Fun race in beautiful surroundings
It would have been helpful to have known how undulating/hilly the course was when I signed up so that I could factor this into my training.
Amazing day, brilliant to see so many.
Excellent route, challenging loved every minute
Entrance into Blenheim grounds was very chaotic. It would have been better to have left hand lane for the fun run and for traffic to go straight in without having to stop at the booth as we didn’t even show a pass or anything anyway. Only just got in and parked up in time due to sheer numbers held up at the entrance
Inclusive and fun but hilly event!
It would be better to have clear starting sections (i.e.) all of the your entry types - runners, walkers, buggies etc to keep it safer and clearer on the course
great run - challenging course!
this is always a great day out in a glorious location. as with most picturesque settings it is quite hilly - this year they added an additional hill so that makes 4 steep hills to account for! still, all good stuff and a great atmosphere. had an issue with my chip timing but all sorted same day. see you all next year!
Great run through beautiful scenery
Suggest runners with dogs and runners with pushchairs are more staggered as we were a bit congested in early stages.
Beware of the Hills!
For future reference, it would be worth encouraging those that plan on walking the event to stand at the back when starting the 7k as there were a number of walkers that chose to start at the front but created a bottleneck for runners that had started behind them. Also, when the hills come into play, it would be an idea to have some sort of signage up encouraging those that are walking up the hill to stay to one side as, again, they took up the path (with the best grip) and got in the way. Oh, and if it rains beforehand, it maybe worth trying to look out for areas that may muddy up as one point on the course was virtually impassable without heading up a verge!
Perfect, no pressure, fun run suitable for all
Great event, lovely atmosphere and superb location. It was highly organised, the volunteers were amazing and the route was a perfect mix of terrain and elevation!
Overall a good event to take part in and for spectators watch , with mention of the route Marshall’s who were encouraging and helpful
A couple of suggestions
1. I felt the entry fee was high between and could be prohibitive, a fairer price would be between £15 - £20
2. The start for 7K dog and other 7K was a little chaotic and could be separated better with the PA system being a clear
Thanks
Simon
Lovely run around a picturesque Blenheim Palace grounds
Whatever pace you run or walk you'll enjoy this event
Great place for a family day out as there's plenty to do after the run and you could always bring your own picnic if weather allows and enjoy the beautiful palace grounds
very good event for family
Great race to step up from 5km
Great fun, love running at Blenheim. No announcement at start was a bit odd, nothing to get runners going etc
